CHRISTIAN CREDIT UNION LOGO & TAGLINE
When I began working at Christian Credit Union, it became very apparent that their brand did not represent who they were as an organization and what they had to offer to their community. The
Credit Union was instituted by Dutch immigrants in 1952. Over the last 60 years, it has grown into a full-service financial cooperative serving over 6,500 members.
The first elements I created where a new logo and tagline. I considered the deep historical roots of the Credit Union, it's cooperative nature, and it's desire to be recognized as a unique organization that was competitive and committed to our Reformed Christian community. We wanted something that was professional and personal, serious and fun.
The flower element of the logo represents the cooperative nature of the Credit Union. Each seed represents a member who contributes to the community. At the centre of the flower is the cross, representing Christ as the foundation of the organization. The colour orange was chosen because it stood out from our competitors and called back to our Dutch heritage.
The tagline "Give. Receive. Provide." explains our value proposition. It can be summarized as "Give" us an opportunity, "Receive" convenient banking, competitive products, personal service, etc. and together we'll "Provide" for our Reformed Christian community.
The new logo and tagline are the cornerstone of a complete rebrand. The newsletter, website, stationery, forms have been completely redesigned or refreshed to represent our Credit Union. The result is an exciting representation of our organization that resonates with our members, staff and other stakeholders in our Reformed Christian community.
